AuctionSound provides a free storefront for all clients. You can use this to your advantage not only to drive traffic to your store with your current buyers but also to boost search engine results with the verbiage you use within your store. AuctionSound gives you the ability to add a custom graphic to the top of your store, change the color scheme, add an About Our Store, feature a product and either write a description of that product on the home page or write some SEO content for your home page.
To edit your storefront go to Admin > Storefront. From here, add your “Storefront Message” which will be posted on the front page. Things you can add are the type of items you sell, your location, why people should shop from you or use your services and add some key phrases that are unique to your store so search engines will pickup this information.
A Great example of using the Storefront Message to it’s fullest is The Decorator’s Exchange which gives all of the examples I listed above. If you have an eBay store subscription and you have eBay store categories set up, you will see those categories on the left side of your store, making it easier for your potential buyers to navigate your site.
In addition to the Storefront Message, you can add information in the “About the Seller” section. With this page, you can add your location, store hours, links to your stores Facebook Fan Page or Twitter account.
